Meet the maker

Hi! I’m Emily, the maker behind Day One Threads. I started DOT in 2017 after the birth of my second son, when I found myself wishing for children’s clothes that felt a little more like my style.

I grew up watching my grandmother sew and create little projects, and those memories have always held a special place in my heart. So I took a leap, taught myself how to sew, and turned a love for creating into what Day One Threads is today.

What started around my kitchen table has grown into a small business that lets me create clothing for your little ones while doing something I truly love.

What we make

Soft, happy prints made to order in every style, from twirl dresses to bummies. Each collection is a small, limited drop, and every piece is handmade after you order it.
